Dave Meisel is the Executive Vice President of Operations at Quanta Services, based in Houston, TX. In his role, Meisel provides executive leadership, strategic planning and technical support in the areas of operations, fleet management and aviation operations within the Quanta Services family of operating companies located around the world.
Dave has more than 40 years of fleet, aviation and logistics experience and has held a variety of fleet management roles, including positions with regional, national and international responsibilities. In addition to being a certified diesel mechanic, he holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA in Marketing and Finance. Dave is a member of several industry organizations including the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), among others.
In addition, Dave is a published author, having written or contributed to countless industry articles and publications. He has worked extensively as a representative of the fleet industry in a variety of venues. He routinely provides expert witness testimony to political bodies, is a registered lobbyist on fleet and alternate fuel related issues at both the state and federal levels and is currently a member of numerous industry, governmental and educational advisory committees. He has served on the boards for several educational and industry organizations including the General Motors Technical Advisory Board, the Goodyear Technical Advisory Board, the Coalition for Clean Air and the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference. In addition, Dave has served as an advisor to the Integrated Transportation Studies department at the University of California and the Advanced Transportation & Renewable Technologies department for the California Community Colleges.
